Analog and electronic circuits

In a non-inverting amplifier using an ideal op-amp, with input-side resistor R1 = 10 kΩ and feedback resistor R2 = 90 kΩ, what is the voltage gain?

  1. A−9
  2. B+9
  3. C+10
Show answer and explanation

Answer: C. +10

The voltage gain of a non-inverting amplifier is 1 + R2 / R1 = 1 + 90 kΩ / 10 kΩ = 10. The output is in phase with the input. Do not confuse it with the inverting amplifier gain, −R2 / R1.
